A faithful recreation of the iconic 14th–15th century Longsword, also known as the Bastard Sword, the Swordier Type XVa features the defining characteristics of Oakeshott Typology XV—refined into a hand-and-a-half configuration for effective two-handed use.

This sword features a diamond-shaped cross-section blade, optimized for thrusting power and rigidity—an ideal form for penetrating armor gaps. Forged from spring steel, the blade is distal tapered from 5.5 mm to 2.8 mm (0.22" to 0.11"), giving it exceptional balance and agility. The longer grip and narrower blade profile improve leverage and control, while the Type 8 crossguard adds historical authenticity.

Commonly depicted in historical fight manuals by Talhoffer, Ringeck, and Fiore, this design was a battlefield staple of the 14th and 15th centuries. With premium leather details and a modern upgrade to the scabbard design, this replica is both functional and collectible.
